General Rules For Discipline
RIMT places highest importance on the maintenance of discipline, cultivation of good manners and inculcation of the habits of regularity and punctuality.
Students are expected to be regular in attending classes and studies. The names of the students who remain absent continuously for more than one week without any application are liable to be removed from the rolls unless they show reasonable grounds for such absence to be condoned.
Neglect and insufficient attention to studies, undesirable conduct and activities inside or outside the class room, disobedience of orders, strikes, causing damage to the property of the institute and use of unfair means in the examinations etc. will be viewed serious act of indiscipline.The students found indulged in such activities are liable to be punished with fine in cash, or suspension or even expulsion from the college.
Students should not bring or use any restricted kind of food, alcohol such as wine, drugs and other intoxicants in the college campus.
Students can report their grievances if any, to the proper authority through their Head of the Deptt. or Co-ordinator for further necessary action.
Students are required to follow the rules and regulations of the college that may be framed from time to time.
Students are required to keep themselves neat and clean. They should take proper care in up keeping their books, practical files & Lab work etc.
Students are required to attend their classes regularly and punctually. They should come to the class a few minutes before time
Fee and other dues once paid are neither refundable nor transferable under any circumstances even if the student withdraws from the course
Academic/ instalment of each semester fee should be submitted within the prescribed time. Any delay may lead to the imposition of penalty.
Students are required to preserve carefully the receipts of all payment made to the institute.
A minimum of 75% attendance is required in all the subjects failing which the student is likely to be disqualified from appearing in the examination.
Students must appear in the internal/ mid semester examination, otherwise it may lead to the imposition of fine.
All the information and notice regarding academic programme, examination, time schedule, fee events etc. will be displayed on the notice board. Students are advised to check the notice board regularly. The institute will not be responsible for any delay or miscommunication.
Parents/guardians should contact the authorities of the institute after receiving the report of irregularity, indiscipline on the part of students or about fee errors. Suitable action will be taken accordingly
No student should remain idle or seen roaming here and there in college campus. They should contact in office at recess only and meet with authorities in visiting hours, else strict action would be taken against them.
Students are not allowed to enter the college campus or to participate in any activity in the college campus without identity card.
Students are expected to abide by the college rules which are conducted to increasing harmony and resulting in self imposed discipline.
Students are expected to behave in a courteous and gentleman-like manner on all occasions. They should address their teachers and all the members of the staff with respect and politeness. Good moral behavior and gentle ways are the prerequisites of every student. They should always remember that the college is judged by their conduct.
Peronal phone calls/ local calls can be made with the permission of the principle only.
The use of mobile phone in the college campus is strictly prohibited. If any student is found using mobile phone during college hours, he/she will be punished with fine.
Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus. If any student is found involved in ragging inside or outside the college campus, he will be expelled from the college and will not be allowed re-admission.
